SLCUMUN 2019 by School of Law, Christ University

Diplomacy, Peace, Order. Resonating with the spirit of the School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Model United Nations culture, it gives us immense pleasure in announcing the 7th Edition of the Model United Nations being hosted at by School of Law, CHRIST, Feb 15th and 17th 2019.

In an attempt to stimulate the discussion and initiate larger and more enthusiastic participation on international issues and engage in productive discourses, the International Relations Committee at School of Law, Christ has always been dedicated to providing participants with a comfortable competitive environment.

SLCUMUN was first hosted at School of Law, Christ in the year 2013, and has been a runaway success since then, hosting hundreds of students every year, and has constantly worked towards inculcating the spirit and zeal required to be a successful diplomat. We, at the School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) are in the relentless pursuit of a dynamic environment that promotes the holistic development of our students, through various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

To provide greater insight into the complicated and intricate machinations of International Relations, Legal Issues and Political Developments and other pressing issues by providing an avenue where students can experience first-hand, the workings of the United Nations, the International Relations Committee hosts the annual International Model United Nations Conference.

In the 7th Edition, the International Relations Committee at School of Law, Christ promises to raise the bar and exceed all expectations that it has set out for itself. With 7 Committees and an Executive Board that boasts of some of the most notable and experienced MUNers in the circuit. SLCUMUN promises to be the most awaited conferences of the year and has always excelled in the art of hosting and conducting one of the best conferences in the country. Following are the extremely interesting and unique committees that SLCUMUN shall host:

  1. United Nations General Assembly Disarmament and International Security Council
  2. United Nations General Assembly Economic and Financial Committee
  3. United Nations Security Council
  4. United Nations Human Rights Council
  5. All India Political Parties Meet
  6. North Atlantic Treaty Organisation and
  7. International Press.

SLCUMUN has always strived to host a conference that integrates students from all across the globe to nurture an interest in debating and international relations. MUN Orientations shall be conducted for the benefit of those who are first time participants. Further, aspiring journalists and photographers are also invited to be a part of the International Press.

For Registrations as Delegates, it is to be kindly noted by all applying delegates that the ‘Early Bird’ phase of applications as on 12th January 2019 is closed. The next round of applications shall be announced on the 15th of January, 2019, on the above-mentioned Facebook Page.
