About the organizer

The Programme for Legal Education and Awareness (PLEA) is an NPO that strives to provide knowledge and opportunities for developing practical and professional skills to thrive in the legal sector. While it strives to educate, enhance, and exposes law students, lawyers and the public at large to facets of the profession and its practices, PLEA off­ers a platform to the experienced professionals to do some pro bono work, engage and shape the next generation of lawyers. They do so by organizing regular sessions which are free, interactive and curated to enrich the participants.

About the event

PLEA is conducting a 2-day Bridge seminar where we aim to connect the dots between academic knowledge and real-life lawyering by developing a wider understanding of various practice areas along with enhancing a variety of skills needed to sustain and grow in the legal industry.

The Seminar shall be conducted on the 2nd and 3rd of February 2019 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Eligibility Criteria

Preference for the seminar shall be given to Final Year Law Students and Junior Advocates from any law college. They must attend the entirety of the seminar for both the days.

The students shall be skilled and imbibed with practical knowledge necessary for them to practice as a lawyer. We have invited 10 speakers who are practicing advocates, including partners in law firms to speak on a practice area of their expertise. They shall conduct interactive sessions on those areas that every law students must have a basic understanding of before graduating.
