About the Fest

Law Tryst, the National Legal Festival of SVKM’s Jitendra Chauhan College of Law, is hosted annually for all the young and budding law students across India. Pioneered in the year 2000, the fest is now heading towards its 20th edition and assures to provide students with the platform they always desired, to exhibit and hone their legal skills. It all started with a tiny fire kindled in our minds and hearts, to put in our blood, sweat, and tears to make Law Tryst what it is today, knowing at the back of our heads that our passion and dedication will ignite minds all over the county. It is our Law School’s endeavor to provide law enthusiasts with opportunities to learn in multidimensional ways and explore the limitless possibilities in their quest for knowledge.

For us at SVKM’s Jitendra Chauhan College of Law, Law Tryst is a passion. Every volunteer puts in their heart and soul for months before to the final day, the Team Law Tryst works non-stop from deciding the theme, planning events, bringing in the sponsors and seeing in all the nitty-gritty’s to create a benchmark and deliver a memorable festival year after year and most importantly, provide a memorable experience to our participants.

This year, Law Tryst will be based on the current affairs connected to the General Elections of 2019 and theme is coined to be “The Election Year” whereby we shall explore the legal and political issues relevant to the General Elections 2019.

Team Law Tryst shall organize the following events scheduled on 8^th, 9^th & 10^th March 2019:

Moot Court Competition (Flagship Event)
Model Parliament (Flagship Event)
Client Counselling
Law Firm Management
The Jaeger
My Way or the Highway
War of Words
Draftsmanship

Registration

The registration fee for the Fest is Rs. 2,500/- (Rupees Two Thousand Five Hundred Only) per Team.

Accommodation shall be arranged for outstation teams at an additional Fee of only Rs. 3,500/- (Rupees Three Thousand Five Hundred Only) per Team of 3 members.

Accommodation shall be provided from 12 noon on 8^th March 2019 until 12 noon on 11^th March 2019 at the discretion and terms of the Organisers.

Payment of Fees shall be vided Demand Drafts in favor of “Jitendra Chauhan College of Law – A/c Law Tryst”.

Registration, as well as the accommodation, will be confirmed after the receipt of the Demand Draft(s).

Cash Prizes worth Rs. 51,000/- and Internship Opportunities for participants across all events at Law Tryst.
