About the Debate Competition
The Aligarh Muslim University holds a rich literary & cultural tradition. To carry forward those traditions, The AMU Students Union & The University Debating and Literary Club (UDLC) will be organizing it’s prestigious All India Sir Syed Memorial Debate Competition (AISSMD) on the 19th & 20th of February 2019 in English, Hindi & Urdu.

The topic of this year’s trilingual debate is
- یہ ایوان مذہبی امور میں عدالت عظمیٰ کے عمل دخل کی تائید کرتا ہے
- यह सदन उच्चतम न्यायालय द्वारा धार्मिक मामलों में हस्तक्षेप का समर्थन करता है
- This house supports the Supreme Court’s intervention in religious matters
Language
The All India Sir Syed Memorial Debate 2019 will be conducted in English, Hindi & Urdu. Institutions may send one team of two students in each language or all of them.
Travel advice
Regular buses are available from Anand Vihar bus terminal & Noida City Centre bus station to Aligarh. The city is also accessible by train. Approximate journey time is 2.5 hrs to 3 hours from Delhi.
