National Moot Court Competition @ Rayat College of Law

Rayat College of Law, Ropar is conducting the National Moot Court Competition and Client Counselling Competition on 2019 on March 30-31, 2019.

Moot Court Competition

Eligibility Criteria 

The Colleges/ Universities/ Institutes pursuing with LL.B (Five Year or Three Year Degree Course) in the current academic year are eligible to participate in this competition.

However, only one team per university/institution shall be eligible to participate.

Team Composition

The participating College/University/Institute shall nominate one team consisting of three students for the competition.

Each team shall comprise of three students. An observer may accompany the team but no certificate shall be provided to him/her.

In case of any contingency, the researcher may substitute the speaker only with the prior permission of the organizer.

Registration Process

The Registration Form (given in the brochure below) completely filled and duly signed by the Head of the participating college/University/Institute along with a draft worth Rs. 4200/- as Registration Fee drawn in the favor of The Principal, Rayat College of Law, Payable at Ropar should be sent on or before 15 February 2019 (soft copy) and on or before 20 February 2019 (hard copies).

Submission of Memorial

The participating teams must submit four hard copies of the memorials prepared from both the sides, i.e., “for” and “against” according to the proposition (4 copies from respective sides i.e. total of eight copies) on or before 20/03/2019. The participants must send a soft copy of the above-stated documents to [email protected] by 15/03/2019.

  • Each team will be given a code on submission of the memorial.
  • Copies and Documents submitted shall be the property of the organization.
  • The participating teams will have to report on 30/03/2019 at Rayat College Of Law, Railmajra.
Prizes Awarded

1st Prize: Rs. 5000/-
2nd Prize: Rs. 3500/-
Best Memorial: Rs. 2500/-
Best Mooter: Rs. 2500/-

Date and Venue

RCL National Moot Court Competition shall be held on 30th and 31st March 2019 at 9:00 A.M at Rayat College of Law, Railmajra, Ropar, Punjab (140001).

National Client Counselling

Important Note: Students participating in Moot Court Competition are not allowed to participate in Client Counselling and vice versa

Competition Dates: 30th & 31st March 2019. Reporting time will be 9:00 A.M on 30th March 2019.

Team Composition
  1. Each team must consist of two participants only.
  2. The two participants may be from any of the LL.B. 3 year course or B.A. LL.B/B.COM.LL.B 5 year courses. Teams shall not be altered after registration.
Registration

Registration fees are Rs. 2500 and accommodation & meals included. Registration fees for the competition are Rs. 2500 including the fees for accommodation to be paid through Demand Draft.

The last date for payment of registration fees is 5th March 2019 and sending soft copy of the form is 5th March 2019.
